The system is running a version of Microsoft Windows. 2. The system has Array Manager Version 3.5 installed. ###################################################################### WHAT IS FIXED IN THIS PATCH? ###################################################################### When running Array Manager version 3.5 and the OpenManage Server Administrator Diagnostic Service packaged with Dell Systems Management CD version 3.8, the Diagnostic Service may not function reliably. This patch resolves the conflict between Array Manager and the OpenManage Server Administrator Diagnostic Service. ###################################################################### HOW THE PATCH WORKS ###################################################################### The patch installer stops the "Secure Port Server" Service (if it is installed and running) and deletes the diagframework.dll file located in the Array Manager install folder. After the file is deleted, the patch installer restarts the Secure Port Server Service. ###################################################################### WHAT THIS PACKAGE CONTAINS ###################################################################### The download package contains the following file: diagpatch.exe - Windows patch installer executable. ###################################################################### INSTALLATION ###################################################################### To install the Array Manager 3.5 Diagnostics Patch: On a Microsoft Windows system: 1. Extract (unzip) the download package to a temporary directory. The default is c:\patch350 2. Open a command prompt and cd to the "Windows" subdirectory of the directory to which you unzipped the files. 3. The following options are available: (a) diagpatch [no options] Prompts the user to continue, stops the Secure Port Server service if it is running, deletes the file and restarts the service. (b) diagpatch /? Displays help. (c) diagpatch /silent Silent operation. Stops the Secure Port Server service, deletes the file and does not restart the service. (d) diagpatch /silent /restart Restarts the Secure Port Server service after the patch is applied in silent mode.
